I am a family man with three kids still at home and with an income. But not enough to keep up with everything and just as an example this week we are out of money with the rest of the week to go. My littlest girl got sick this past weekend and we are going to have to spend our last few dollars in our bank account and won't have any money til this next Friday when we get paid. Would appreciate any help that would help us through this next week. Thanks!

I have a quick need this week to pay for my gas and my kid's medicine this week. I get paid on Friday but still four days to make to through until then and my daughter has been sick this weekend and really don't have the money to take her to the doctors, so I have to go get some NyQuil. Any little bit will help. Thanks

 in response to cryingallthetime...   Well maybe not where you live, but I have two families that are in the same predicament or close to that you are in, as well as my own. We decided not to go with bankruptcy but the other two families it served them well. I'm amazed at how you are so can tell where my heart is without even knowing me. This board is not for you to judge people! I am not judging you and have only given you some advice. It is up to you to accept or ignore.

This is a perfect example of why bankruptcy was invented. You can clear your debts, without quiestion. You also need to set the kids up in public school... No cost there.

Dear Mr. President,

I appreciate your help on the economy, but it sure hasn't reached here.  I am married and have three children.  I was unemployed for part of last year after working for a company for 17 years. (they were bought out by a German company and 300+ people were laid off)  I am working now, it will be one year in April that I got a job working at AARP.  My mortgage and the kid's schooling takes a majority of my paycheck. I do have a good interest rate on my home, but the value of it has dropped $200,000 in the past few years.  Now I cannot touch the equity in my home because I don't make enough money.  My wife is deaf and has worked along with some help from the state of California to being close to becoming a deaf counselor to the deaf.  So she will be able to try and earn some money from that at the beginning of next year if all the tests go well.  But as of now, we are using foodbanks to try and provide food for our family.  Please keep focused on the economy... Post Open Letter to your Elected Representatives

My best advice is to work with the Admission Department of the school. I am doing the same thing and they will be able to help you with financial aid, work study and show you what grants are available... Also don't be afraid of student loans too to accomplish your goals. My kid had been accepted to Vanguard University and I am working on the same thing.

Money has been provided for the kid's school! PTL! Anyways - anyone out there with a computer that doesn't work for them. Send to me and I will try and fix it for you!

One thing I did was giving computer tune ups... they can give you $100 for an hours work. They can even drop the computer to your home and pu later. that helped me with some extra cash. Hope that helps... TechT

 in response to up2night...   I would suggest you contact a Calvary Chapel around your area. There is no membership and as long as they see you going there, they are more than willing to help.
